As at 31 January 2019, our membership comprised 158 local and foreign banks\/institutions and representative offices operating in Singapore<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Our roles include:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRepresenting the Commercial and Investment Banking Industry: We voice the interests of our members in Singapore through strategic engagement with our stakeholders \u2013 banks, regulators and customers.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUpholding the Integrity of Members: We work with members to develop and implement industry code of conduct and guidelines that are in line with international best practices.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBuilding Relationships within the Industry: We build consensus among members with differing opinions and coordinate as well as gather support for projects of mutual benefit.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<li >\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCollaborating with Regional and International Organisations: We partner with these organisations to strengthen members&#8217; interests.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Role The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) is a non-profit organisation that represents the interests of the commercial and investment banking community.
